Major League Baseball (MLB) aimed to increase attendance, concession sales, and fan engagement for the 2024 season. Their challenge was to identify how to leverage AI technology to enhance their audience targeting, creative messaging, and overall campaign performance. They partnered with vendor Claritas to address this using Claritas’ suite of AI Optimization solutions.
Claritas implemented an AI-Powered Creative Optimization campaign for MLB, which utilized a multitude of creative variations and real-time AI decision making. The results from the initial pilot with seven clubs were significant, demonstrating a 65% lift in ticket sales over the control group and generating substantial time and cost savings. Due to this success, MLB is planning to scale the Claritas program to its remaining clubs.
