Catholic Relief Services Enhances Agricultural Impact Assessment through Collaborative Data Analytics Initiative

Catholic Relief Services (CRS) sought to enhance the impact assessment of its agricultural programs but faced challenges with data that was distributed across different systems, languages, and formats, making it difficult to derive consistent insights. To strengthen its data governance and analytical capabilities, CRS launched its Analytics for Impact (A4I) initiative and selected the vendor Clarista and its compliance platform as a key enabler for this project.

With Clarista's technical support, CRS implemented a three-phase solution to connect, manage, and consume its data. This involved creating a standardized data catalog, classifying sensitive information, and harmonizing data across languages and currencies. The results included more efficient data processing, reduced manual effort, and enhanced monitoring capabilities. Clarista provided crucial visibility into data health, helping CRS build a strong foundation for advanced analytics and more data-informed decision-making.
