VUHL is a young Mexican maker of the lightweight supercar VUHL 05 that needed a robust information-management system to support low-volume series production. With about 1,500 distinct parts sourced from over 100 suppliers and an expectation of world-class customer service, the company faced challenges in supply-chain coordination, production tracking and customer communication accessible from both desktop and mobile devices.

VUHL implemented a custom FileMaker Platform solution, developed with partner Creative Databases, that integrates SCM, ERP and CRM modules to track parts from supplier to warehouse, manage costs and inventory, and let customers follow manufacturing milestones. The mobile-enabled system (FileMaker Go) uses a visual checkpoint/stoplight dashboard for quick status checks—resulting in improved logistics, lower overhead and shipping delays, complete process traceability and faster access to production and sales information.
