The Q Foundation ramps up housing aid during the pandemic with Claris FileMaker

Q Foundation, a San Francisco social services nonprofit and major emergency housing relief provider, faced a sudden surge in demand during the pandemic as many residents lost jobs and risked eviction. To respond quickly, the organization worked with Claris and Claris FileMaker, with help from Beezwax, to build a custom app for managing rent payments, housing paperwork, and new client information.

Claris helped Q Foundation launch an online system within weeks that also streamlined donations, donor communications, and rent check creation. The result was faster, more scalable emergency housing assistance, with the app helping prevent evictions and enabling the foundation to keep clients housed even in urgent court situations.
