E2 Consulting Engineers is leading EPA Superfund cleanup work at the Sulphur Bank Mercury Mine on Clear Lake, a complex project involving eight regulatory agencies, seven subcontractors and about 20 onsite staff. Daily progress tracking was a cumbersome, manual process that consumed up to eight hours a day and hindered timely oversight and decision-making.

E2 deployed a cloud-hosted custom FileMaker solution for Mac, Windows and iPad (polished by The Support Group in four weeks) to capture daily logs, photos, change orders, safety reports and provide tiered web access to regulators. Reporting time fell from eight hours to two, real-time data and photo documentation improved oversight and enabled data mining for better remediation decisions, and secure web access reduced the need for onsite visits.
