Porterbrook Leasing Company, a UK rolling-stock lessor, needed a reliable way to inspect and maintain a large, geographically dispersed fleet. Inspections were hampered by paper forms, disconnected systems and manual re-entry into an Oracle asset-management database, causing delays, lost information and unnecessary administration.

Decent Group built a FileMaker-based iPad app that lets inspectors record defects, attach photos and sync directly with Porterbrook’s Oracle AMS. The integrated solution sped up inspections, cut admin time, simplified training and made inspection data immediately available across the business—improving maintenance responsiveness without overhauling existing systems.
