Sirote & Permutt is a 120‑lawyer law firm (founded 1946) with six offices in Alabama and Florida that serves businesses, families and individuals. The firm needed a secure, mobile‑friendly way to surface case histories and third‑party business intelligence—Microsoft tools and spreadsheets were slow, fragmented, and not optimized for attorneys who travel.

Using FileMaker and the Idea to iPad bundle (including 10 hours of consulting and a Customer Success Manager), the firm built a custom app with help from Scott Howard Consulting and trained its IT team to iterate further. The app delivers secure, on‑the‑go access to client case details and linked external data, speeds decision‑making with visual reporting, enables rapid development of practice‑specific tools, and has improved efficiency, client service and attorney preparedness.
