A Claris Case Study
The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGAC) in France oversees the EU SAFA program and conducts nearly 2,500 on‑ground aircraft inspections a year across metropolitan and overseas airports. Facing fragmented data across eleven regional offices and 50 inspectors, the DGAC needed a secure, user‑friendly, easily updatable system that would centralize reports, support rapid regulatory changes, and work in the field.
Working with INTERFACE, the DGAC implemented RECIF on FileMaker Pro and FileMaker Go, migrating from 15 to over 70 tables and adding multimedia attachments, electronic pilot signatures, and direct integration with the European database. Deployed on iPads, RECIF lets inspectors complete validated reports in about five minutes, instantly share findings with management and airlines, maintain strong data security (no incidents in 10+ years), and accommodate regulatory updates with two annual releases.
