Auto Wash Express, a family-owned business that runs eight self-serve car washes across Arizona and a small manufacturing operation for dispenser boards, was hampered by isolated spreadsheets, manual inventory checks, frequent site visits, and a lack of affordable, integrated systems for inventory, forecasting and time tracking.

Co-owner Brian Janezic built a custom FileMaker solution (FileMaker Go on iPad with CNS barcode integration and a FileMaker Server back end) to centralize inventory, ordering, time clocks and manufacturing workflows. The barcode-enabled mobile app sped repairs and assembly, cut downtime and administrative work, enabled remote management and consolidated orders and payroll — recouping the software investment within six months and improving profitability and customer satisfaction.
