Aldi worked with Clarion Communications to launch its new wine eCommerce platform, aldi.co.uk, with two key challenges: building awareness of the offering and driving online wine sales. Clarion Communications was brought in to help change perceptions of Aldi wines and communicate their quality to a wider audience.

Clarion Communications created a limited-time “futuristic” pop-up Aldi wine store featuring minimalist glass displays and tablet stations where customers could browse and buy wine online. The campaign generated coverage in outlets including metro.co.uk, City A.M., Daily Mail, The Sun, The Sunday Times Magazine and The Star, and helped boost Aldi’s online sales revenue by 35%.
