Digital health program drives better medication and lifestyle management for COPD patients

AstraZeneca needed a digital solution to help COPD patients better manage medication and lifestyle. They engaged vendor Clario to develop the Me&My COPD digital health program — a personalized self‑management app and supporting web portal designed to deliver the right tools and coaching to patients at the right time.

Clario implemented Me&My COPD with a patient app capturing daily diaries and PEF readings via a Bluetooth spirometer, clinically‑validated questionnaires, personalized goals and coaching, plus a clinician web portal; patients are enrolled by physicians. The program improved medication and lifestyle adherence, enabled earlier identification of deterioration, reduced exacerbations and hospitalizations, and improved patient quality of life, and is now being streamlined for global roll‑out.
