Daimler AG builds IVI prototype in 5 weeks with Clarinox

Daimler AG, a prestige automobile manufacturer at the leading edge of automotive technology, sought to enhance the user experience for its next-generation In-Vehicle Infotainment (IVI) systems. The challenge was to select innovative technologies that would make the user interface more intuitive and functional without distracting the driver, requiring a robust real-time operating system and wireless connectivity platform from a niche engineering partner.

Clarinox, together with Green Hills Software, provided a solution using ClarinoxWiFi and the INTEGRITY RTOS. Clarinox delivered wireless connectivity software and hardware, enabling the design and assembly of a wireless SD card and custom protocol stack within just five weeks. This provided Daimler with a robust, safe, and flexible foundation for testing many innovative telematics features in a prototype, which enabled testing that would not have otherwise been possible.
