Fortune 500 Business Retailer, a leading provider of workplace products and business services across 40 European countries, needed a way to manage SEO for product pages in a dozen languages. Its team had to attach accurate keyword metadata to a large catalog, but doing that manually made multi-language SEO much slower and more expensive.

Using Clarifai’s API and core visual recognition model, the retailer automatically generated keywords for 600 initial product images and added them to ALT tags in 12 languages. Clarifai helped the company finish work that would otherwise have gone to an outside translation agency in a single afternoon, with reported results including 7% higher monthly website traffic, more than $10k in agency fee savings, and an 80% improvement in time-to-market.
