Bowel Cancer UK deepens insight with Claremont through 10 interviews

Bowel cancer uk, a charity, wanted to deepen its understanding of the experiences of people from lower socio-economic backgrounds affected by bowel cancer. Their challenge was to identify the barriers to engagement, information, and services these groups face and to understand their perceptions of the charity. Claremont was commissioned to conduct this research.

Claremont conducted in-depth interviews with 10 individuals from the target audience. The research identified five key themes, including low symptom awareness and the significant emotional barriers to contacting a GP. The insights provided Bowel Cancer UK with valuable guidance for developing more relevant support and outreach. Claremont's work was praised by the charity's Chief Executive for testing assumptions and revealing new information.
