Spendology exchanges private solution for AWS and Claranet

Spendology, a travel money fintech previously known as Travel Money Club, needed a hosting environment that could support rapid customer growth, seasonal traffic spikes, and strict security and data sovereignty requirements for FCA- and HMRC-aligned partners. To meet these needs, Spendology turned to Claranet for help moving from a private cloud approach to a more flexible public cloud setup on AWS.

Claranet designed and migrated the solution to AWS, giving Spendology the elasticity to scale in real time and the compliance support needed for UK data sovereignty. The result was more dynamic server performance, lower ongoing running costs, and significant automation that reduced staff effort and saved on staff costs, while Claranet became an extension of Spendology’s business.
