Priory Group conserves patient confidentiality with Claranet's help

Priory Group, a UK healthcare and education provider with more than 275 facilities, needed to modernize and secure its rapidly expanding network as acquisitions and organic growth complicated its existing setup. Working with Claranet, the company reviewed its IT systems to improve efficiency, cost, and security while protecting highly confidential patient information and supporting new integrated business systems.

Claranet implemented a dual MPLS managed network with assured separation, creating two distinct but shared-infrastructure networks for the administration and education functions, backed by encryption and VPN controls. The solution improved confidentiality and resilience, added disaster recovery through failover to Claranet’s data centre, and delivered significant cost savings by avoiding extra infrastructure across nearly 300 sites. Priory Group said the network has been a strong, reliable investment that works without intervention.
