Intel needed to recruit Master’s- and PhD-level hardware and software engineers but was widely perceived as a hardware-only company, so software candidates overlooked its opportunities. ckr interactive worked with Intel, conducting focus groups with Intel software engineers to inform an eye-catching recruitment creative and campaign called codehearted.
ckr interactive executed the codehearted campaign—using items like Geek T‑shirts, HTML emails, Handshake cards, bannerstands and an employee referral push—positioning Intel as a destination for software talent. The effort helped Intel hire 300 engineers in less than six months and won 1st place in the Creative Excellence Awards (non-paid advertising and giveaways).
