Four Kitchens, a digital experience consulting agency, was tasked by their client Poets & Writers to build a new online platform where poets and writers could collaborate and exchange feedback. Their challenge was to implement this without technology becoming a barrier, requiring features like commenting, document imports, and role-based access, all while working within the Drupal ecosystem. They needed a well-supported rich text editor, which led them to the vendor CKEditor.

The solution was implemented using CKEditor 5 with its Drupal-native modules, which provided the required features out-of-the-box, including comments and import from Word. This allowed Four Kitchens to accelerate development and deliver a fully-functional platform quickly. The result was a successful phase one launch that created a vibrant community for creators. The client was extremely happy with the platform's ease of use, and the project is now continuing into a second phase with CKEditor powering new features like direct messaging.
