CKEditor simplified Spotlight’s content creation process

Spotlight, a business consulting and analyst relations firm in Kansas City, needed a better way to manage content as it grew. Its client notes and key information were scattered across Excel, Asana, MS Word, Evernote, and other tools, making collaboration cumbersome and increasing the risk of duplicate work and lost information. Spotlight turned to CKEditor’s CKEditor 5 rich text editor to build a stronger internal writing platform.

CKEditor implemented a custom collaborative content creation solution for Spotlight using CKEditor 5, including the Real-time Collaboration plugin and a commercial license. This let teams and clients edit the same document simultaneously, improve transparency, and export reports to MS Word. The result was faster content creation, more efficient collaboration, no more duplication of work, and a new revenue stream as Spotlight began planning to sell the platform as SaaS to other analyst relations professionals.
