DTU, the Technical University of Denmark, needed a better way for its internal teams to create and review content. Its CMS lacked basic editing features like spell check as well as collaboration tools such as comments and track changes, so staff often drafted documents in MS Word and emailed them back and forth. CKEditor provided the modern, familiar WYSIWYG editing experience DTU was looking for.

DTU implemented CKEditor 5 in its SharePoint-based CMS, along with Comments, Track Changes, and spell and grammar check features. This made it possible to write, edit, and review documents directly in the CMS, eliminating duplication of work and reducing cross-department coordination meetings to zero. CKEditor also helped DTU improve efficiency and user experience, with strong support and documentation cited as additional benefits.
