How Civis Platform Centralized NRDC’s Data and Galvanized Supporter Insights

Natural Resources Defense Council (NRDC), a national membership-driven environmental nonprofit, was struggling with siloed data spread across multiple systems and locations, making it difficult to understand what its millions of supporters cared about and which messages motivated them. NRDC turned to Civis Analytics and its Civis Platform to create a single source of truth for supporter data and improve decision-making across the organization.

Civis Analytics implemented Platform’s Identity Resolution (IDR) and related data tools to consolidate and cleanse NRDC’s records, connect supporters to the causes they care about, and add richer demographic and behavioral insights. As a result, NRDC gained a clearer view of its true supporter base, established a data-driven baseline to measure donor growth, and built a centralized multichannel campaign management system that enabled more proactive, personalized outreach and stronger donor relationships.
