Natrona County Wyoming faced urgent communication challenges when COVID-19 disrupted daily life across its 26 communities. The County’s Emergency Operations Center (EOC) realized that disparate communication platforms, separate websites, and no centralized IT office would hamper a coordinated public response. Through a partnership with CivicPlus they selected Civil Space, a cloud-hosted tool, to serve as a single, countywide information hub.

Civil Space implementation specialists worked with the EOC to build and launch a full EOC site in a matter of days, using Civil Space’s branding and unified messaging features to present a consistent, accessible digital service that established credibility with residents. The site became the trusted home base for tri-weekly public sessions and a central place for updated links, statistics, and local, national, and global updates, enabling faster citizen access to critical information during the crisis.
