A CiviCRM Case Study
ESCR-Net, the International Network for Economic, Social and Cultural Rights, is a member-based human rights network connecting NGOs, social movements and advocates in more than 75 countries. Facing fragmented contact data in Excel files, staff address books and Yahoo Groups and needing a new website after their previous platform was sunsetted, ESCR-Net chose CiviCRM (deployed on Drupal) to centralize contact management and streamline global member communications.
By implementing CiviCRM—using Groups, SmartGroups and Tags and integrating it with their new Drupal site (with implementation support from Cividesk)—ESCR-Net centralized contacts, enabled multilingual and personalized email outreach, and targeted communications to specific member groups. The CiviCRM solution strengthened ESCR-Net’s global communications, improved member engagement across 75+ countries, and made outreach more efficient and measurable, helping “invigorate the participation” of their network.
