A CiviCRM Case Study
The Salvation Army Echelon, a young adult auxiliary organization with chapters across the U.S., faced the challenge of managing its expanding network under a single website umbrella while allowing each local chapter to customize its own content and manage its own data. They engaged the vendor CiviCRM, along with its implementation partner Skvare, to find a solution that would centralize management while providing local control.
Skvare implemented a CiviCRM-based solution that used customized access control lists (ACLs) to segment data by chapter, giving each one full control over its own membership information, events, and communications. This allowed for localized reporting and event management, including a custom feature for member discounts. The solution automated administrative tasks, saving time and overhead costs, and enabled chapters to easily gather attendees and process registrations for paid events through their websites.
