Squam Lakes Association is a non-profit that protects and promotes the Squam Lakes region in New Hampshire. They were already using CiviEvent (part of CiviCRM) for summer camp and other event registration but needed participants to be able to see who had already signed up for specific sessions or positions while selecting their own registration. Previously they relied on Signup Genius and wanted to keep all event registration on their own site to avoid forcing users to create another external account.

Using CiviCRM’s CiviEvent functionality with a custom implementation by Tamarack Media, Squam Lakes Association added visibility of current sign-ups directly into their squamlakes.org registration forms. The CiviCRM-based solution replaced Signup Genius, centralized event registration on the organization’s site, reduced user friction by eliminating external accounts, and improved the registration experience and administrative oversight.
