A CiviCRM Case Study
Romemu, a progressive Jewish spiritual community in New York, needed a way to track and build relationships with members (many grouped as families/couples), manage heavy event programming and volunteer coordination, and support fundraising. They chose CiviCRM (using CiviContribute, CiviEvent, CiviMember and Drupal integration) to replace a legacy membership system that didn’t support households or integrated event/membership workflows; a particular challenge was producing per-session participant rosters from complex event price sets.
CiviCRM delivered a new website fully integrated with its CRM, migrated and reconfigured existing records into household structures, and set up online membership and event pages, credit-card processing, and members-only areas. As a result, members can update personal and family information online, all upcoming events appear on the homepage and calendar, and staff use CiviCRM’s back-office tools to register people, manage memberships and process payments in one place—streamlining membership/event processing during peak seasons and consolidating Romemu’s constituent data.
