Registration front-end for organizations & memberships bridging into a 3-rd party web-app

United Star Distance Learning Consortium, a leader in satellite and blended distance education, needed a quickly deployed replacement website with a robust registration front end to support three account types, annual paid memberships, and parent organization/child member relationships. The project required perfect synchronization between the usdlc.org site and a proprietary third‑party database at usdlc‑l2l.org so that changes on the front‑end would propagate to the management console.

Allora Consulting implemented a CiviCRM solution—leveraging CiviCRM’s Membership and Organization/Individual relational modules—to provide the three‑type registration interface, organization↔member management, paid membership processing, and a sync mechanism to the proprietary database. The CiviCRM deployment enabled fast, reliable registration, semi‑automatic account synchronization, easier searching/editing of participants, clear participation status views, improved reporting and communications, and streamlined fee collection, effectively bringing the consortium out of operational chaos.
