MSF South Africa manages donor data for 60+ countries with CiviCRM

MSF South Africa (Doctors Without Borders), the local branch of an international medical humanitarian organization, needed a system to manage its fundraising efforts and donor database. They chose CiviCRM for its customizability and free online availability to store and manage all their fundraising contacts.

CiviCRM, implemented with the help of service provider Ixiam, provided a highly customizable solution. The results included the ability to track email campaigns, generate financial files for monthly debit orders, and automatically produce and send annual tax certificates to donors. CiviCRM also enabled sophisticated donor segmentation through different groups and smart groups based on pre-defined criteria, which was one of the most significant features for the organization.
