The Irish Massage Therapists Association (IMTA), a 20‑year‑old professional body representing 500+ massage and bodywork therapists across Ireland, needed to replace fragmented Excel- and email-based processes with a modern membership management system and integrated website that supported member-only content and reliable email communications. They selected CiviCRM as the membership management platform, paired with a Joomla CMS and cloud hosting delivered by Target Integration.

Target Integration implemented a LAMP-based solution combining CiviCRM (for membership management, website access control, event registration and communications), a Joomla website, data migration using Pentaho Spoon, and custom member fields. The CiviCRM solution consolidated and cleaned IMTA’s records, gave administrators accurate visibility of membership levels and fees, streamlined communications and online publishing for 500+ members, and avoided ongoing licensing costs thanks to open-source CiviCRM.
