Managing Multiple Member Chapters Within One Site

Salvation Army Echelon, the national young adult auxiliary of The Salvation Army, needed a way to bring multiple local chapters under one umbrella site while letting each chapter customize content and control local membership data. To solve disparate event systems, inconsistent data collection, and administrative overhead, they adopted CiviCRM (with Skvare doing the Drupal development) and implemented CiviCRM features across the network.

Using CiviCRM modules such as CiviEvent and CiviDiscount, plus Drupal/CiviCRM Webform integration and refined ACLs, the vendor created chapter-specific roles, centralized reporting, a shared calendar, and a streamlined discounted-event flow that auto-verifies members and pre-fills registrations. CiviCRM’s implementation automated many administrative tasks, unified event registration and payment processing, protected chapter data with segmented permissions, and reduced overhead while making it easy for chapters to gather attendees and volunteers.
