A CiviCRM Case Study
mahJ, the Musée d'Art et d'Histoire du Judaïsme in Paris, needed a single system to manage memberships, donations, ticketing and daily operations, integrate with their new Drupal website, support French accents, and allow multiple staff to work concurrently without outsourcing mass mailings. After struggling with fragmented FileMaker installations and inconsistent data, they chose CiviCRM to centralize contact and membership management.
Using CiviCRM on Drupal, mahJ implemented Memberships, Contributions, Events/Ticketing, Mailings and Reporting/Searches; Schedule Reminders automate renewal notices and all donations are recorded on contact records. Custom work by Cividesk separates membership dues from donations at payment and provides a French city autocomplete to improve data normalization. The CiviCRM solution delivered automated renewals, streamlined donation and ticket processing, multi-user access and more consistent, efficient data and communications without external services.
