Fee Assist, a multi-organization program in Waterloo Region that helps low-income households access fee assistance for child recreation, needed a secure, flexible way for families to pre-qualify and share confidential financial documentation with multiple service providers without carrying paperwork or being re-approved at each provider. Fee Assist chose CiviCRM (deployed on Drupal) as the platform to meet these needs.

CiviCRM was configured to provide robust contact management for participants and service providers, customizable relationship records, permission controls tied to website accounts, and built-in membership management. Using CiviCRM, Fee Assist now lets families upload verification, view participating programs, and share eligibility with multiple providers—enabling one-time pre-qualification, eliminating the need to carry confidential documents, and streamlining administrative processing across partners.
