Case Study: muslimehelfen e.V. achieves a robust, SEPA-ready and extensible CRM foundation with CiviCRM

A CiviCRM Case Study

Preview of the muslimehelfen e.V. Case Study

Laying the foundation for a high-performance IT landscape with CiviCRM

muslimehelfen e.V. is a mid-sized relief organisation in Ludwigshafen, Germany, with about 120,000 contact entries and over 500,000 donations. Their 1990s legacy system was near failure and they faced a tight deadline to support Europe-wide SEPA direct debits, so after evaluating options they chose CiviCRM as a modern, extensible CRM platform.

Deployed on Drupal, CiviCRM was used to migrate the large, complex database and to implement SEPA, banking and German donation-receipt extensions, plus Drupal views, an API extension, UI customisations and hosting support. The move to CiviCRM enabled reliable SEPA direct-debit processing, preserved the organisation’s 120k+ contacts and 500k+ donation records, and delivered a scalable, integrable foundation that muslimehelfen e.V. is now using to expand services.
