Avon Education Foundation (AEF), a volunteer‑led nonprofit supporting local education, faced fragmented data and manual workflows: donor addresses and gifts were scattered across multiple Excel files, grants were tracked separately, there was no bulk email capability, and gift acknowledgements were extremely time‑intensive. With several key volunteers transitioning off the board, AEF engaged CiviCRM (implemented on Drupal) to consolidate and upgrade their operations and protect institutional knowledge.

AEF implemented CiviCRM to centralize contacts, gifts and grant records, enable bulk emailing, and automate acknowledgements. The CiviCRM deployment—led by outgoing and incoming board members—streamlined workflows, reduced manual effort, preserved historical data during the leadership transition, and created a more disciplined system for ongoing fundraising and grant management.
