How CiviCRM Helped Strengthen Our Individual Giving

Mile High Youth Corps, a Denver-based nonprofit that provides conservation-focused service opportunities for young people, needed to strengthen individual giving and better organize its annual fundraising event. They turned to CiviCRM to build a donor database, capture additional donor details (for example, donors’ connection to MHYC and how they first heard about the organization), and improve contact segmentation and targeting.

Using CiviCRM (including robust online donation pages, cleaned/standardized contact data, and organized groups and tags), MHYC tracked all of its 2015 donation information, identified a list of top donors, and created personalized outreach strategies. The CiviCRM implementation streamlined event fundraising, made donation tracking far easier, and improved MHYC’s ability to target appeals—resulting in a more functional donor database and stronger individual giving.
