A CiviCRM Case Study
Hands On, a New York City nonprofit that provides interpreted theater and arts access for Deaf and hard-of-hearing communities, needed a cost‑effective way to accept ticket payments online and manage its supporter database. They chose CiviCRM and, with some custom Drupal module code, set out to add online ticketing and series registration to their existing workflow.
Using CiviCRM’s event series functionality plus custom development, CiviCRM enabled a single series registration to create pseudo‑registrations for each selected performance, accept online payments, and let staff easily generate attendee lists for individual shows. The solution streamlined Hands On’s ticketing and supporter management, improving operational efficiency and helping the organization better reach and serve its Deaf audience.
