Case Study: AFS New Zealand achieves scalable alumni growth and chapter management with CiviCRM

A CiviCRM Case Study

Preview of the AFS New Zealand Case Study

Growing the Alumni and cultivating the chapters

AFS New Zealand, part of the international AFS exchange network, needed an alumni system that quickly grew in scope to include a Pasifika site and a chapter-based structure with controlled access for each chapter. The customer had chosen CiviCRM and engaged Fuzion to deploy it, using CiviCRM as a multi-organization CRM integrated with Drupal to meet their membership and donation needs.

Fuzion implemented a single CiviCRM database linked to multiple Drupal websites (including a Domain Access site per chapter), configured memberships, donations and in-built multi-org access controls so chapters could manage their own contacts. The CiviCRM deployment centralized alumni data, supported chapter growth and streamlined membership/donation processes; the case study reports these qualitative improvements but provides no specific numeric metrics.
