Greenpeace in Central and Eastern Europe (Greenpeace CEE) needed a more sustainable way to manage fundraising, communication, and donor data after moving away from a proprietary software solution. The organization chose CiviCRM, the open-source CRM platform, to regain control over its data and improve how it handled donation-related processes.
With CiviCRM and the CiviBanking extension, Greenpeace CEE automated bank transaction imports into CiviCRM, handling around 50,000 bookings a year with 89% partially automated. This saved significant time and resources, gave Greenpeace CEE full ownership of its data and processes, and even enabled the team to contribute back to the CiviCRM community by developing the SQL Tasks extension.
