Fuzion adds sitewide contact search in 3 steps with CiviCRM

The customer Fuzion was asked by their client to make the CiviCRM contact search box available on all Drupal pages and have it link to the contact's Drupal profile page, rather than just within CiviCRM.

The vendor CiviCRM's community member implemented a solution using the Drupal Finder, Views, and Features modules. This created an autocomplete search block that searches Drupal users by display name, username, or email and links the results appropriately. CiviCRM provided the packaged solution, making the new search functionality easily deployable across the client's entire Drupal site.
