EMIS National User Group is a UK membership organisation of GP practices and other related members that needed a scalable, Drupal‑integrated system to manage memberships, marketing and member benefits. After a failed custom build that didn’t integrate with Drupal, the group turned to CiviCRM, deploying CiviMember, CiviMail, CiviCase and CiviEvent on Drupal to replace legacy processes and tackle the migration of data from an Access database.

CiviCRM (implemented with development and migration support from Fabriko) consolidated the association’s records — covering about 1,400 primary member organisations and over 8,000 related members — and enabled automated communications, event management and case workflows. The CiviCRM solution gave EMIS National User Group a scalable, Drupal‑integrated platform to manage membership more effectively and begin delivering planned member benefits, with measurable impact in a single consolidated membership database and improved capability for mailings, events and support.
