A CiviCRM Case Study
The Limes, a community and children's centre in London, uses CiviCRM to manage memberships, event bookings and to record child evaluations as CiviCRM activities with custom fields. The centre collects qualitative reports plus quantitative 1–10 scores on four scales (happiness, anxiety, development, independence) and struggled to visualise progress between a project's baseline and current evaluations.
Using CiviCRM activity data, developers implemented radar charts with d3.js and radarchart.js and integrated them via Drupal Views to overlay each child’s latest evaluation on their baseline. The CiviCRM-driven visualisation gives immediate feedback—larger latest radar areas indicate improvement—making it easier to monitor progress, target interventions, and produce clear, measurable evidence for grant reporting.
