Case Study: American Women's Club of Zurich achieves streamlined back-office operations and member self-service with CiviCRM

A CiviCRM Case Study

Preview of the American Women's Club of Zurich Case Study

Complete revamp of the club's back office systems & processes

The American Women's Club of Zurich is a 100% volunteer organization that manages roughly 500 members, hundreds of events annually, a library, fundraising and many social activities. The club’s back-office was fragmented across Excel lists, custom databases and disparate CRM add-ons, leaving no centralized view or control. To modernize and automate operations they implemented CiviCRM alongside a new Joomla website.

CiviCRM was deployed to provide a centralized membership database, an online directory, and self-service profile and event registration, automating workflows and improving reporting. The solution now supports about 500 members and hundreds of events per year, reduced the time burden on volunteers and consolidated management of library, fundraising and social programs—though CiviCRM adoption requires user training to address regular member turnover.
