A CiviCRM Case Study

CiviCRM Saving time for what really matters

South High Foundation, a nonprofit supporting student programs at South High School in Minneapolis, needed a better way to manage mailings, donations, events and a capital fundraising campaign. After moving off an Access database they adopted CiviCRM to gain richer contact, mailing and event-management features, but a poor initial implementation left them with duplicate and incorrect records (more than 1,300 wrong addresses), preventing effective communication with supporters.

Using CiviCRM (with their instance migrated and hosted by Cividesk), the database was cleaned up and reconfigured in a matter of hours. CiviCRM’s mailings, contact and event management now give the South High Foundation an accurate mailing list for the first time in nearly two years, resolved over 1,300 bad addresses, restored confidence to send both print and email correspondence, and freed staff time to focus on fundraising and student programs.
