A CiviCRM Case Study

CiviCRM managing members, donors, dance students, dance performances and fundraising events

Güngur Fine Arts, a Buenos Aires–based nonprofit dedicated to teaching and promoting Indian classical dance, faced the challenge of finding a CRM built for non-commercial arts organizations to manage members, students, teachers, donors, performances and fundraising. After evaluating SugarCRM and Salesforce, they implemented CiviCRM in 2009 to address those specific needs.

Using CiviCRM (implemented with external support from iXiam Global Solutions), Güngur deployed Contacts, Contributions, Mailings, Events and Memberships modules and integrated them with Drupal to enable events management, mass emails and streamlined donor and member administration. CiviCRM helped the organization better manage contacts, students and collaborators, improve fundraising and event coordination, and, as the manager noted, “helped us to grow as an organization.”
