CiviCRM Keeps a New York Community Connected to the Arts

ArtsWestchester, a nonprofit arts and culture organization in White Plains, NY, was outgrowing its original WordPress site and struggling with data scattered across multiple proprietary systems for contacts, mailings, donations, memberships and event registration. To centralize and simplify those workflows they adopted CiviCRM (CiviCRM for WordPress) as their CRM solution.

Tadpole Collective rebuilt ArtsWestchester’s WordPress site and integrated CiviCRM, adding custom plugins and configurations—user-table syncing between WordPress and CiviCRM, Event Manager customizations for recurring events, and Caldera Forms integration to create contacts and relationships directly in CiviCRM. The CiviCRM implementation consolidated disparate databases, removed manual syncing, enabled tiered membership workflows and user-submitted events, and produced a maintainable plugin now adopted by others—streamlining operations and reducing reliance on expensive proprietary tools.
