CiviCRM goes live in 4 weeks to help membership renewals

The Chartered Institute of Linguists, a UK professional body with over 6,000 Fellows, Members and Associates, needed to replace a disparate Access/spreadsheet setup with a single web‑enabled system to handle membership management, renewals (including paperless direct debits), event bookings and regular marketing — all on a very tight schedule. CIOL chose CiviCRM (implemented on Joomla) to meet these requirements and to move to an open‑source CRM focused on not‑for‑profit organisations.

NFP Services implemented CiviCRM, migrating and cleansing CIOL’s data and delivering membership join‑online, events booking/payments, bulk emailing/self‑profiling, forums, directories and e‑commerce features. The solution went live in four weeks, enabled paperless direct debits and automated renewal reminders, and replaced the old Access/spreadsheet processes — giving CIOL a single system to manage 6,000+ contacts and streamline renewals and communications.
