A CiviCRM Case Study
University of San Andrés in Argentina, a university of about 2,000 students, needed to centralize fundraising and donor information that was scattered across different areas and stored in Excel and Access. To avoid license costs and gain a single, fast source of truth on their intranet, the university chose CiviCRM as their donor management system.
Using CiviCRM the university implemented custom fields to match their procedures, replaced all Excel and Access databases, and enabled donors to give through the university website with contributions recorded into CiviCRM. They also integrated CiviCRM with their ERP to interface billing and payments with the General Ledger—resulting in a centralized donor record, faster access to contribution data, elimination of spreadsheets, and streamlined financial reconciliation.
