Public Interest Law Clearing House (PILCH) adopted CiviCRM 4.1 to support participant-led fundraising for its annual Walk for Justice. As a first-time CiviCRM user working with the new Events personal campaign page functionality, PILCH faced the challenge of creating bespoke registration workflows and extensive cross‑browser JavaScript and template overrides to let individuals set up personal campaign pages and accept online donations.

Using CiviCRM, the vendor implemented Online Contributions, Personal Campaign Pages, Memberships and Views integration with numerous customisations to deliver the required registration workflow. CiviCRM enabled live personal campaign pages, streamlined online donations and social media promotion for Walk for Justice participants, successfully supporting participant-driven fundraising and more efficient event registrations.
