The Structural Engineers Association of California (SEAOC), a leading authority in structural and earthquake engineering, needed to modernize a website that hadn’t been redesigned in nearly a decade and was built from a hodgepodge of systems. SEAOC required a professional, responsive site that could sell publications, promote and take payments for webinars and in-person events, and support job listings and member services — a rebuild Aeronet delivered using Drupal 7 and the CiviCRM 4 platform (CiviCRM).

Using CiviCRM integrated with Drupal 7, the site now provides contact and membership management, contributions, mailings, events and reporting; a bookstore with member vs. non-member pricing for downloadable and printed publications; online event registration and payment; and committee publishing and collaboration tools. CiviCRM enabled SEAOC to streamline transactions and event management, enforce member discounts to drive join-rate incentives, and improve overall member engagement and operational efficiency.
