La Plata County, Colorado (population ~60,000) needed a modern website that would showcase the County’s natural beauty while making services like permit applications, issue reporting, and news accessible across devices. CivicLive was engaged to redesign the information architecture and deliver a mobile-friendly site using its SitePublish platform, including the SitePublish Forms Engine and newsletter distribution features, to prioritize resident-facing services.

CivicLive implemented a responsive design with dynamic mega menus, an “I Want To” section, visually-assistive icons and images, customized subsites for the Sheriff and Community Development, and integrations with state and third-party services. The SitePublish CMS empowered department-level content managers to create and maintain pages and use the built-in Forms Engine to collect data without separate tools, streamlining service delivery and improving accessibility for La Plata County since the site launch in 2016.
